Yesterday we visited the Josiah Stowell and Joseph Knight homes along the Susquehanna River. We learned lots of fascinating details, but one I liked best was Emma paddling a canoe up the river from Harmony to visit Joseph. Here's an aerial view. The Knight home is in the bottom center and the Stowell home is across the river above the bridge. The Colesville Branch, the first organized branch of the Church, met in a barn across the road from the Knight home. Hyrum Smith was the branch president.
I've been following your recent Church History Tour with great interest. Thanks for posting these photo's. It helps me appreciate early Church History better.
